We are learning that two construction workers were injured on a Sunoco Logistics pipeline about 20 miles away from Pittsburgh. What we know so far is that one male and one female worker were pulling a piece of equipment, called a pig, through a section of pipeline under a road when that equipment struck and injured them. We have learned that an accident that happened on February 7 on Franktown Road was caused by a possibly impaired driver. Allegheny County Police say that a 48-year-old man was traveling eastbound in his pickup truck when he crossed the center line and slammed into a Nissan SUV. The driver of the Nissan was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries. The investigation is ongoing and police do believe the driver of the pickup was impaired.
