Last week a woman was killed in nearby Baldwin when her vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic. Councilman Corey O’Conner lost his 66-year-old aunt in a pedestrian accident at the end of November. His aunt, named Margery Pelled, died at the hospital from injuries she sustained. Last week, a Port Authority bus was in a head-on collision with a pickup truck in nearby Coraopolis. Authorities say that it happened at around 2:30 p.m. near Island Avenue and Ewing Road. Four passengers on the bus, the bus driver, as well as the truck driver were all taken to the hospital due to their injuries. We do know that none of the injuries are life-threatening.
